The Agrate Brianza Municipal Commission awarded Milena Baroni, CEO of Mycroclean Italia®, the "Il Gelso d'oro" award. This award, on behalf of all citizens, recognizes individuals, organizations, associations, or local businesses that have distinguished themselves through their civic and social work, honoring the entire Agrate Brianza community.
With the onset of the health emergency in spring 2020, the all-female team at Mycroclean Italia® became aware of their role and immediately put their resources and expertise to work for the community, converting their production to produce hypoallergenic fabric masks, washable and reusable up to 500 times, with a bacterial filtration rate of 99.8%.
Mycroclean Italia®, the company led by Milena Baroni, develops sustainable and cutting-edge solutions, working alongside highly specialized manufacturing sectors, such as the aerospace, pharmaceutical, and microelectronics industries, which require barrier garments and strictly controlled levels of contamination.
Today, Milena Baroni is the first female entrepreneur to win the "Il Gelso d'oro" award: a laudable recognition of the innovative and virtuous way in which she has run her business.
